Another actor’s firm under ED lens

KOLKATA: A company owned by Bengali actor Rituparna Sengupta has become the second production house after fellow Tollywood star Prosenjit Chatterjee’s firm to receive summons from the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in connection with the probe into the Rs 17,500-crore Rose Valley chit fund scam.
The summons sent to Sengupta on Wednesday is for an appearance at the ED office in Salt Lake on July 18, a day before actor Prosenjit Chatterjee is scheduled to appear before the agency.Rituparna, who is currently in the US, told TOI: “I have received the notice and will cooperate with the agency. As an artiste, I had an association with the company and performed in two of the movies they produced. Apart from that, my company has produced two reality shows for them. We have all the documents to support the transactions.”
