The drive was carried out in zone A, B and C. The officials also issued as many as 41 challans to the defaulters.
Around 65kg plastic carry bags were seized from various places during the drive.
From zone A, 40 kg plastic carry bags were recovered while zones B and C gave up 20kg and 5kg plastic carry bags respectively, said the officials.

The MC had started the drive against plastic carry bags after imposing ban on their production, sale and usage. Though the ban was imposed in 2016, it is yet to be fully implemented across the city. The aim behind implementing the ban is to save environment and curb pollution in Buddha Nullah as plastic carry bags contribute hugely to the menace.
