A pair of adorable fluffy dogs have been hailed as heroes after saving their owner from being sexually assaulted in a Melbourne cemetery.
The woman was walking her Shih tzu RuPaul and terrier cross Louie through Williamstown Cemetry on June 29 when she was set upon.
The man shoved her to the ground and then attempted to pull her pants down when she screamed at the top of her lungs for help.
Her two tiny dogs heard the call to action and set upon the man before he ran away.
'They saved me. They viciously attacked him (the man), growling, biting,' she told Herald Sun
The woman rushed home and contacted police who set up a crime scene and forensically examined the area.

'With my screaming and the struggling, it made him stop.
'I didn't hear anyone around me. Maybe I was being watched before it happened.'
The woman was unable to see the man's face but described him as having a large build and wearing a black puffer jacket with a white beanie.

Detective Senior Constable Jenna Sladek said the dogs did a 'really good job' in rescuing the woman.
She also asked if there were any witnesses or if anyone was in the area at the time of the assault to come forward.
'We know people congregate at the cemetery at night so we are keen to hear from anyone who witnessed the assault or may have been in the area at the time.' she said.
