Congress protest rocks Parliament again

Proceedings in both Houses of Parliament were disrupted again on Wednesday following continuous protests by opposition Congress over the political developments in Karnataka where the JDS-Congress government remained on the precipice with two more MLAs tendering their resignations. Lok Sabha saw uproar for the third day with Congress floor leader Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury accusing BJP of “betraying” democracy in Karnataka and citing denial of permission to DK Shivakumar to enter a Mumbai hotel to meet rebel Congress MLAs.
Despite assertions from the Chair that same issue cannot be raised during Zero Hour daily, Congress MPs continued their protests and staged a walkout, with TMC and DMK in tow. Rajya Sabha was adjourned for the day early for the second day in a row following protests by Congress members.
