It has been quite a day for India and especially the Indian cricket team. After toiling for two days to reach the final of Cricket World Cup, India faced hard luck in the semifinals.
Chasing 240, India lost Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli and KL Rahul early for just 1 run each. The Indian cricket team came back in the match with Ravindra Jadeja and MS Dhoni. However, it was not enough to reach the target set of 240 runs by New Zealand team.
Showing his support to the Indian cricket team and Virat post the match, Aamir Khan tweeted, "Hard luck Virat. Just wasn't our day today. For me, India had already won the World Cup when we qualified for the semis at the top of the list as the number no 1 team."
"Well played guys throughout the tournament. I just wish it hadn't rained yesterday...The result might have been different. But well done. Proud of our team. Love. a.," added the superstar, as he also went on to tag Virat Kohli, BCCI and #TeamIndia in his post.
