MUMBAI: Nine persons were injured in two separate wall collapse incidents at Andheri and Govandi on Monday. Besides, at least 22 tree-branch falling incidents were reported from different areas, but no one was injured, BMC said.

In the first incident, the wall of a two-storey structure collapsed at Shivaji Nagar slum in Govandi. Eight persons sustained injuries and neighbours rushed them to hospital. In the second incident, the boundary wall at Paper Box Industrial Estate in Andheri (East) collapsed after developing crack. Yogesh Pandey (35) sustained injuries. BMC officials said several bikes parked adjoining to the wall were damaged.
Besides, the heavy rainfall in the morning led to waterlogging in several areas triggering traffic chaos.
