While India have replaced Kuldeep Yadav with Yuzvendra Chahal, New Zealand have brought in Lockie Ferguson in place of Tim Southee.
It has been a dream World Cup campaign for Virat Kohli’s men and now everything boils down to having two perfect days. And though the formidable Indian top-order, led by tournament top-scorer Rohit Sharma, is expected to deliver, New Zealand’s seam attack will also be ready and waiting to knock at the corridor of uncertainty.
The Men in Blue will enter the contest on the back of a convincing 7-wicket victory over Sri Lanka. New Zealand, on the other hand, would like like to return to winning ways after going down in their three final league matches.
Both teams make one change
In the Indian side, Yuzvendra Chahal comes in for Kuldeep Yadav. New Zealand make one change too. Lockie Ferguson replaces Tim Southee.
Virat Kohli at toss
We would've batted first. Fresh wicket, nice and hard, and not moist. A bit of rain around as well, the ball will get wet as the game goes on. It could remain decent throughout the game. It's going to remain similar throughout the course of the game - we have done well in Manchester. We have had two good games in Manchester, and it's about focussing on the basics. We need to remember why we are in the semis. Chahal comes back in for Kuldeep Yadav.
Kane Williamson at toss
We're going to have a bat. It looks like a good surface. We have played a number of games here. A toss-up with the overheads, but it'll be around all day, so we need to get the job first up. We are used to the routine, but we have a great opportunity to put up a good performance against a side like India. Ferguson comes in for Southee.

India vs New Zealand: World Cup record
After their earlier encounter was washed out, Team India will have a shot at booking a slot in the World Cup finals when they lock horns with New Zealand in the first semi-finals in Manchester on Tuesday. Before the start of the tournament, the Kiwi pace battery spearheaded by the Trent Boult had rattled the Indian batting unit during a warm-up fixture, eventually winning the match by six wickets.
When it comes to the head-to-head record in World Cups, the Black Caps hold an edge over the Men in Blue, and have emerged victorious on four occasions out of the seven times the teams have clashed in the World Cup.
