Man held for molesting housewife outside her house

SURAT: A man, who had molested a housewife outside her house at Sarthana, was arrested by police here on Monday. Accused Prakash Himmat Rabadia knocked on the door of the woman’s house on June 4 and when she opened it, he touched her in an inappropriate manner and escaped. The woman registered a complaint against him at Puna police station on Sunday.
Police said the accused, who has a mobile phone repairing shop, went to the woman’s house in Puna when she was alone. He gave the woman a chit with his mobile phone number written on it and asked her to call him.
A police officer said, “The accused tries to get friendly with women who go to his shop for recharge and get mobile phones repaired. He keeps calling them under some pretext or the other. We are trying to find out how many women he has so far sexually harassed and molested. We expect some more women to approach us with complaints against him.”
