MOST OF THE STUDENTS OF CNC OPERATOR COURSE IN MSDC GET PLACEMENT
Ludhiana, July 9, 2019: The Punjab government’s strong focus on providing employment to the youths under its ambitious program ‘Ghar-Ghar Rozgar’ by enhancing their technical abilities, continues to show encouraging results as most of the students of Computer Numerical Control (CNC) operator course in local Multi Skill Development Centres (MSDC) have been recruited by leading industrial houses of the city.
As many as 20 youths who had undergone training for CNC trade in MSDC, Gill road, have been selected by industrial firms. 12 of them have been recruited by Highway Industries, 6 by Yerik International Company and 2 by Matchwell Industries. The remaining 6 youth is determined to become entrepreneur and MSDC is helping him in starting their own venture.
Divulging the details, MSDC state head Pushkar Mishra informed that more than 70 percent youths who were trained in various courses at the centre which is functioning since March 2017, had already got employment and receiving good salaries.
Mishra said that today’s those who have been selected will get a maximum monthly salary of Rs 13500 (overtime extra). He said that MSDC is determined to ensure employment to its students.
MSDC Instructor Jatinder Pal Singh disclosed that 8 short-term courses are being offered at the free of cost here along with uniform, training, the practical. The interested candidates should have been passed 10th and 12th, he added.
He informed that two new courses includes Assistant Electrician and Refrigeration Air Conditioned Washing have also been started. Admissions are on process. Youth should come forward to take maximum benefit of all these courses.
It is pertinent to mention here that the Ghar-Ghar program has already provided jobs and self-employment opportunities to 8.21 lac youths by organizing job fairs throughout the state till date.
