Ms Ivkovic initially told police Walker pulled her by the ponytail to the ground on December 6 while she was cradling a baby on the driveway of their northern Sydney home.

But later that night the former Miss Universe Australia contestant changed her story and then stuck to it, insisting she'd overreacted at first.

Walker had simply touched her shoulder to turn her around and accidentally grabbed her hair in the process, she said.

Magistrate Michelle Goodwin in May said Ms Ivkovic's unwavering commitment to the new version of events under 'stringent cross-examination' couldn't be ignored.

The court was told the couple had fought verbally after Ms Ivkovic asked Walker if he wanted a spoon or fork to eat dinner while he was playing his PlayStation.

The NRL lifted Walker's 'no fault stand down' sanction after the verdict. He has played every Sea Eagles game since round 10.
