'Prince Harry lookalike' Tim Bone may not be the bookies' favourite to win MasterChef, but one punter with deep pockets is certainly hoping he'll take out the top spot.
On Tuesday, TAB announced that an anonymous customer had placed a $2,200 bet on Tim to win when the amateur chef was sitting at $10 odds.
If Tim, whose odds have since shortened to $6, ends up winning the competition, the lucky punter will be taking home a whopping $22,000.

It is unlikely that somebody would place such a significant bet on a contestant with $10 odds, unless of course they had insider knowledge of the show's outcome.

According to TAB, Larissa Takchi currently holds 64 per cent of the money wagered, with her odds of winning at $1.30.
Coming in second place is Tessa Boersma at $3.50 odds.

The winner of MasterChef Australia will take home a hefty $250,000 cash prize and the opportunity to publish their very own cookbook.
Channel 10 goes to great lengths to keep the winner's identity a secret, with judge Matt Preston revealing that producers even film two alternative endings.
'We re-create the final reveal of the scores, complete with the same scorecards, so they actually stand there with their loved ones and get to watch the real thing unfold [on TV],' Matt told Mix 102.3’s Jodie & Soda in 2017.
'So one of them has been sitting there for a couple of months not knowing,' he added.
