22-year-old knifed by jilted lover in Hyderabad

HYDERABAD: A 22-year-old woman, preparing for her competitive exams, was allegedly stabbed by her lover in a lodge in Dilsukhnagar on Tuesday. The accused, Jana Venkatesh, 23, who slit his wrist, is out of danger, while the condition of Vemuri Manaswini is critical. Venkatesh was booked on the charges of attempting to murder the woman.
Staffers broke open the door after the victim’s family approached them and found both of them lying in a pool of blood. Manaswini was rushed to a private hospital. Doctors said she is critical. Venkatesh was shifted to Osmania General Hospital and is out of danger.
