Modern airport and airline infrastructure are a key part of this, enabling business travellers, as well as tourists, to visit the central Asian country.
To grow global connectivity in Azerbaijan and its capital Baku Haydar Aliyev International airport has partnered with Amadeus to implement its core airport management systems.
The national flag carrier Azerbaijan Airlines is implementing Amadeus Altea Passenger Service Systems and Revenue Management solutions.
Amadeus’ Airport IT technology will be including all its core airport management systems in regards to Heydar Aliyev International Airport. It will include operational database, resource management and flight information display systems.
By using Amadeus’ cloud-based Airport Common Use Service the airport will be deploying its key passengers processing systems.
This is the first time an airport has relied on the cloud to deliver all its core systems .
The new airport systems will enable world-class operations at Baku’s international airport after the implementation of the new airport systems. It will not require manual updates as all factors will ow work from a single, consistent view of operations.
The passengers will be able to use efficient commin use service delivered from the cloud , this means that Baku can flexibly scale passenger processing services up or down depending on demand and is also equipped for innovative new approached like off-site check-in.
Bruno Spada, executive vice president, airport IT at Amadeus commented that they believe that forward thinking airports such as Heydar Aliyev International demonstrate the significant integration, collaboration and mobility benefits the cloud can deliver.
They are successfully working with Baku to manage its passenger and operational systems in the cloud is a landmark for Amadeus in the airport industry.
Passenger service systems are crtical for the airlines. The airline will be able to stream its reservation, inventory, departure control and ticketing systems through the Azerbaijain Airline’s signature for the Amadeus Altea PSS.
The Amadeus Altéa Revenue Management will enable the passengers of the Azerbaijan Airlines to get the right seat for the right price . This will help in capitalizing demand and maximizing revenue.
Jahangir Asgerov, chief executive of Azerbaijan Airlines felt eager to accelerate travel growth in Azerbaijan and technology allows them to do just that.
