A photo of women’s education campaigner Malala Yousafzai alongside Canadian minister Jean-François Roberge has gone viral online for a very pointed reason - her headscarf. Quebec’s education minister recently posted the photo with Malala, and in the caption, he wrote, “Nice meeting with Malala Yousafzai, nobel peace prize laureate, to discuss access to education and international development.” The image, which was taken in France where the minister met Malala, has sparked outrage, as the Canadian province of Quebec recently passed a controversial “secular” legislation that bans certain civil servants from wearing religious symbols. These include teachers who cannot wear rosaries and in case of Malala, headscarves while performing their duties as a teacher.

Social media in the past few days has been abuzz with photo-shopped pictures of US President Trump’s daughter, Ivanka, in unusual places and for reason. Last week, Ivanka Trump stirred quite a controversy by attending the G20 Summit in Osaka, Japan. Many called her out for nepotism. Videos emerging from the summit also seem to show her trying to fit in but to no avail. With a lot of people online too feeling that Trump was butting in where she did not belong, #unwantedivanka soon began trending on Twitter. Netizens have since gone on a photo-shopping spree, superimposing pictures of Ivanka in odd places or scenes from films or from iconic moments in history to highlight the point.

Steve Irwin has always been more than just a crocodile hunter for the generation who grew up watching him tame reptiles, even after his demise. His son, Robert Clarence Irwin, may just be 15 years old, but he is already living up to his father’s legacy. A photo posted by him on Twitter, is perhaps proof, that he is following his father’s footsteps, and has the same connection with the animals that Steve did. “Dad and me feeding Murray... same place, same croc - two photos 15 years apart,” he captioned the photo, in which he looks very similar to his father, and is seen tossing food to a huge crocodile called ‘Murray’.
