Inspector killed, 2 constables injured in e-way accident

Kanpur: Police inspector Arun Kumar Singh, a native of Ganga Nagar in Meerut, and posted at Gangoh Kotwali police station of Saharanpur district, was killed, while two constables injured in an accident on Agra-Lucknow Expressway in Etawah on Monday morning.
Police said Arun Singh, travelling in his personal four-wheeler along with two constables, Balram Singh and Neeraj Kumar, was proceeding from Saharanpur to Lucknow in connection with official work.
“The mishap took place when one of the tyres of the car, being driven by constable Balram, had burst near channel no. 82 and it crashed into a roadside divider in Etawah on Agra-Lucknow E -way injuring inspector Arun Singh and the two constables” said Circle Officer (CO) Saifai, Massa Singh.
Constables Balram Singh, resident of Idreesipur (Baghpat) and Neeraj Kumar of Mullashan (Baghpat) are posted at Doghat police station in Baghpat dsitrict. They were rushed to Saifai medical university where Arun Singh’s condition deteriorated and he died later. Both the constables are out of danger, the CO said
The CO told TOI that deceased inspector’s family has been informed about the incident.

Four of a family killed in car accident: Four of a family were killed after a car crashed into railing of a culvert on Rae-Bareli-Jaunpur highway near Kurni village under the limits of Sikrara police stationin Jaunpur district on Monday.
SO Sikrara Ramashankar Pandey said that three persons identified as Ramdas Vishwakarma, his wife Devi and brother Ramsavaria died on the spot while his son Rajesh died on way to hospital.
