A fire broke out at a coaching centre in Dwarka’s Kakrola village where DU’s entrance examination was scheduled to take place on Sunday morning. No injuries were reported in the incident, said officials.
Chief Fire Officer Atul Garg said they received a call at 11.36 a.m. regarding the fire after which six fire tenders were rushed to the spot. “The fire was in the electric meter board wiring due to short circuit at the ground floor. It was doused by 12 noon,” Mr. Garg said. Around 300 people were safely evacuated from the building, the officer said. The exam was delayed by 30 minutes.
