“Realme C1 Android 9.0 Pie update brings Riding Mode, theme store, an app drawer, and more”
Realme announced the Android 9.0 Pie based on ColorOS 6.0 beta update to Realme 2 and Realme C1 back in June. Now, the young Chinese brand is rolling the Android Pie update to its budget Realme C1 smartphone, according to multiple user reports. The 2GB firmware update brings version number RMX1811EX_11_A.54, June 2019 Android security patch, a Riding Mode, a theme store, and more. It adds notification icons in the status bar, new gesture navigation system, and also redesigned the Quick Toggles page with large icons.
Furthermore, the Riding Mode mute all notifications, automatically texts back to decline calls and avoid any kind of distractions while driving. However, it allows exceptions for select contacts. The app drawer remains the most-requested ColorOS 6.0 feature, and all the apps are now easily accessible under one single roof. It also updated the ‘UI of AI Board’ and the default system theme. There is a new Theme Store that can be used to change the current skin. Since the update hasn’t been publicly announced yet, it could be rolling out randomly to a limited number of users first and is expected to have a broader rollout in the next few days.
To recall, the Realme C1 flaunts a 6.2-inch-inch HD+ display with 1,520 x 720 pixels resolution, and 19:9 aspect ratio. It is powered by a 1.8GHz octa-core Snapdragon 450 chipset with Adreno 506 GPU paired with 2GB RAM and 16GB internal storage. The handset now runs on Android 9.0 Pie with ColorOS 6.0 on top. In terms of optics, the Realme C1 packs dual rear cameras with 13MP primary sensor and a 2MP secondary shooter with LED flash. On the front, there is a 5MP snapper with selfies and video chats. Connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.2, and GPS + GLONASS. There is a 4,230mAh battery.
