Sanitation workers submit memo to Pandey

Ludhiana: The members of Municipal Karamchari Welfare Association handed over a memorandum to MLA Rakesh Pandey for CM Captain Amarinder Singh so that civic employees could get their pending salary of two months.
On Sunday, the employees wanted to meet the Congress MP Ravneet Bittu. However, when they could not arrange a meeting with him, they handed over memorandum to MLA Pandey.
The employees rued that from the past two months they have not been getting salary and it has become difficult to run their household. They added that the MLA should ask CM to release the funds for MC so that it could at least pay salary to its employees.

The president of the association Deepak Hans told MLA Pandey that they need to pay their wards’ fees as schools have opened now. He added that even arranging groceries has become a task for some of them.
The MLA assured the workers of finding a suitable solution to their problem.
