IMFL cache worth Rs 32L seized

Four bootleggers abandoned the liquor-laden truck after seeing cops
Rajkot: A total of 8,784 bottles of Indian Made Foreign Liquor (IMFL) worth Rs 31.91 lakh were seized from a truck in Untwad village of Babra taluka in Amreli district on Sunday night.

“There were four bootleggers who had abandoned the truck and fled from the spot. However, we have ascertained the identity of the main accused who had ordered the liquor supply as Kalu Chitalia alias Bhanu Khachar, a resident of Jasdan,” said D D Parmar, sub-inspector with Bhavnagar rapid response cell.
The liquor cache was delivered at the farm owned by Jhujhar Rabari, following which he, too, was booked for the crime.
