A teacher claims she feared for her safety as her bodybuilder ex-boyfriend stalked her and subjected her to a 10-month campaign of abuse.

Rebecca Cundall, 25, claims Dale Moir, 27, screamed abuse at her in public and showed members of their gym intimate photographs of her on his phone.

The father-of-one also allegedly created fake Instagram accounts and used them to make up stories about Ms Cundall in a bid to warn off other men, Manchester Magistrates' Court heard.

The pair met at the Total Fitness gym in Whitefield, Greater Manchester five years earlier and had been in a relationship but after they split in March 2018 Ms Cundall said Moir 'pestered her whenever she turned up for training.'

Ms Cundall said Moir 'pestered her whenever she turned up for training.'

She switched to another gym but claimed Moir followed her and set up fake Instagram profiles pretending to be members.

Moir allegedly used the profiles to post pictures and messages about Miss Cundall and told her ex-boyfriends she was 'weird' and had been stalking him.

Gym staff eventually called police after Miss Cundall was left 'so upset she was stuttering and mumbling.'

Miss Cundall told the court: 'The guy is always there and he is always going to be there.

'I can't live my life and I can't have new relationships. People don't want to speak to me, they say: 'I don't want to deal with that'.

'I'm in fear, I am constantly looking over my shoulder. I thank God I have moved house. The guy is good at stalking'.

She told magistrates Moir showed people in the gym intimate pictures of her and called her a 's***' and a 'b***h'.

The pair met at the Total Fitness gym in Whitefield, Greater Manchester five years earlier and had been in a relationship but things turned acrimonious when they split in March 2018

She added: 'I went to a new gym and started working out there and Dale got wind of it and came in and spoke to the assistant manager. I was scared of what he was going to do, he was following me everywhere I went.

'I just want to be left alone by him. I am not fixated with him, I want him out of my life. I'm not able to move on with my life.

'What that guy put me through, I want a restraining order. I don't want him to contact me or come near me'.

Aaron Nevins, manager at Total Fitness, told the court: 'One time Dale was walking around shouting abuse. [Miss Cundall] was on the squat rack and he was on the free weights.

'The other times I noticed him getting to the gym at the same time as Rebecca and leaving at the same time as when she was leaving.  I saw him follow her on at least four or five occasions whilst I was on shift.'

Moir, who works for a security company, denies stalking between March 2018 and January 2019.

In interview with police he denied deliberately attending the gym at the same time as Miss Cundall and insisted he had no sexual photograph of her.

He admitted calling her a 's***' but denied making fake Instagram profiles. The trial was adjourned until later this month.
