The Congress and Janatal Dal (Secular) workers staged protests on Sunday against the ‘rebel’ MLAs who have resigned from their parties. A group of JD(S) workers held protests against A.H. Vishwanath, who led the rebel MLAs in Hunsur town.
The police have provided security to the residences of Mr. Vishwanath and Narayana Gowda, MLA for K.R. Pet, anticipating protests.
The Congress workers held a dharna in front of the KPCC office demanding that the four Congress MLAs withdraw their resignations.
“Those who have built the party must not betray it,” said many workers.
The ‘rebel’ MLAs faced much backlash on social media too.
