Due to heavy rain and poor visibility this morning, flight operations to and from Mumbai are severely affected, alike last week — the main runway at Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport (CSIA) was shut and a Spicejet flight from Jaipur overshot the runway after landing amid heavy rains.

Although no flights have been cancelled yet, departures and arrivals are delayed at the airport. As per Flightradar24, Indian airlines including Air Asia and Go Air are witnessing a delay of 30 minutes. Furthermore, three flights have been diverted to other airports.

Meanwhile, airlines such as Indigo, Spicejet and Vistara are issuing travel advisory, warning passengers about further delays.

Rail services, on the other hand, are functioning normally. As per Skymet Weather forecast, “While #MumbaiRains are expected to continue through the day, there will be breaks in between as well.”
