“The Xperia 20 could be a mid-range offering with a Snapdragon 710 processor”

At this year’s MWC in Barcelona, Sony unveiled its latest smartphones dubbed the Xperia 1, Xperia 10 and Xperia 10 Plus. The company hasn’t yet launched these handsets in all the markets across the globe, and it’s already working on the successor to the Xperia 10. Recently, some CAD-based high-resolution renders and a 360-degree video of the upcoming Xperia 20 smartphone were leaked on the interwebs. Now, the Japanese publication Sumahoinfo has leaked almost complete Sony Xperia 20 features. The report suggests that the smartphone will arrive as a mid-range offering with dual primary cameras at the rear and a Snapdragon 700 series processor.

According to the report, the Sony Xperia 20 could feature a 6-inch LCD display with full HD+ resolution and 21:9 aspect ratio. The phone will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 processor. The smartphone is tipped to come in two RAM and two storage variants – 4GB / 6GB and 64GB / 128GB. At the rear, the handset is said to offer a dual primary camera setup comprising of two 12MP sensor. On the front, the device will feature a single camera of unknown resolution. The report suggests that the Xperia 20 will measure 9.8mm. Lastly, the source indicates that the phone will be available SIM-free from telecom operators including Docomo, au, and Softbank.

Earlier leaked images indicated that the Sony Xperia 20 will feature a glass back panel. The phone’s fingerprint sensor will be placed under the power button on the side. The handset will come with a dual horizontally-placed camera setup at the back. The smartphone will have a slim chin, a 3.5mm headphone socket, and a USB Type-C port for charging.

As of now, there’s no word regarding the exact launch date of the Xperia 20. However, the source claims that the phone could be released in Autumn or Winter of 2019.
