The new Ulaanbaatar International Airport (NUBIA) operation project in Mongolia will have Mitsubishi participating in it.
Together Mitsubishi, Narita International Airport (NAA), Japan Airport Terminal Co, and Jalux have established the NUBIA joint venture (JV).
JV and the National Development Agency of Mongolia has joined a 15-year concession agreement for the operation of the new airport which will be located 50km south of Ulaanbaatar.
The aircraft will be able to take-off and land from both ends of the runway in the new geographical location.
