Headmaster assaulted in Sachendi area

KANPUR: A man allegedly assaulted headmaster of a Government Basic Primary School in Sachendi area after he resisted the former’s attempt to molest fellow female teachers.
Following a complaint made by school headmaster Rauf, police have launched an investigation in this regard.
The incident took place on Thursday at Raikepur village under Sachendi police station when a villager Manoj Yadav, after being scolded by school headmaster Rauf, allegedly barged into the school and assaulted him with a belt.
“As Manoj used to stalk women teachers, the headmaster warned him to mend ways. This infuriated Manoj and he attacked the headmaster with a belt,” said station house officer Sachendi Raghvendra Singh. Subsequently, the headmaster gave a complaint against Manoj in this regard, the SHO added.
“After preliminary investigations, we are in the process of registering an FIR under relevant sections of IPC while separate teams have been formed to nab the alleged molester, who is on run”, the SHO further said.
