In the US, the award for a turban warring film written by Gurinder Singh Khalsa, and a short film made by Punjabi Sikh Gurinder Singh, who fought the turban battle in the US, got the honor.

It is worth mentioning that the story of this movie is based on the incident when in May 2007 the Khalsa was not allowed to board a plane without removing the turban. Then he was asked to choose one of his own faith or turban. He was going to visit his mother, who was only a few days old. After this incident, he had launched a campaign to attract the attention of the American parliament.

As a result, the turban on the whole nation’s airport had to be changed in the policy. In this movie, at the Covel International Film Festival in Montana, USA, there is a ‘Short of the Year’ award, this film is based on the real event.
