Two chemotherapy drugs, which were not available at the pharmacy of the Regional Cancer Centre (RCC) earlier, have now been made available, a statement issued by the RCC Director has said.
The non-availability of two chemo drugs at the RCC pharmacy or in any of the open market shops had been causing difficulties to patients and the matter had been taken up by the State Human Rights Commission too.
In the statement, the RCC Director said that drugs for the RCC were being purchased through Kerala Medical Services Corporation Ltd (KMSCL). But, these two drugs could not be procured because of some technical reasons.
Though these two drugs had been made available for free in the interim through special arrangement at the SAT paying counter, the information did not seem to have reached all patients, the statement said.
