JD(U) President and Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has welcomed the budget. He said, the Union Government’s aim and efforts to become a five trillion dollar economy are praiseworthy.
Mr Kumar said, expansion of Swatch Bharat Mission and Solid Waste Management in villages will further strengthen the ongoing cleanliness drive in the country. He also appreciated initiatives taken in the field of water conservation.
The Chief Minister said, promotion of electric vehicle in the budget is an environment friendly step.
West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has termed the budget as visionless. In a tweet, she said that imposition of additional excise duty on Petrol and Diesel will lead to price rise.
