Now that's what you call drifting! Station wagon spins across four lanes on a highway but makes a miraculous recovery and keeps driving
- Near miss caught on dash cam on the I-80 near Kimball Junction, Park City, Utah
- Subaru Outback narrowly misses filming car and mobile home in front
- Out of control, it spins across highway without hitting any other cars
This is the amazing moment a station wagon drifts sideways across four lanes of a highway - but somehow keeps driving.
The near miss was caught on a trailing driver's dash cam on the I-80, near Kimball Junction, Park City, in Utah, before being posted on Youtube on July 3.
Footage shows the Subaru Outback narrowly missing the dash cam car and a mobile home in front as it hurtles into view on the highway and skids across all four lanes before facing the correct direction again.

A near miss involving an out of control Subaru Outback - which screeched across four lanes of a Utah highway - is caught on a dashcam. Above: The scene before the Subaru hurtles into view on the I-80 EB, near Kimball Junction in Utah

The Subaru suddenly appears to the right of the car containing the dash cam and narrowly avoids clipping it or hitting the mobile home in front

The station wagon ends up sideways as it continues its spin across the highway
The video starts with no indication that anything dramatic is about to happen - four cars can be seen up ahead.
A mobile home with bicycles on the back overtakes the filming car before the Subaru skids into view and only just misses the side of the filming car and the rear of the mobile home.
Big puffs of tyre smoke come from the wheels as the unstable station wagon's driver brakes and tries to regain control.

The Subaru briefly faces the wrong way as it dramatically spins before it ends up facing the correct way again (right)

The Subaru then continues along the highway but, once again, comes close to clipping the filming car as its driver shifts lanes
The front of the Subaru is then briefly facing the filming car before it dramatically spins to face the correct way again.
With a lot of its speed lost, the filming car overtakes it and once again comes close to making contact with the Subaru, which turns into the lane next to it as its driver finally regains control.
