Sony has announced a new pair of truly wireless headphones called the WF-1000XM3. These headphones feature Sony’s Noise Cancellation technology that has been winning hearts thanks to the 1000X series of headphones. The WF-1000XM3 are said to be even better with the QN1e HD Noise Cancelling processor and the Dual Noise Sensor technology. With all this combined, the headphones are claimed to provide buyers with the best music listening experience without any external noise.
The Sony WF-1000XM3 headphones are truly wireless, so there is no wires connecting the two. It comes with its own charging case that can provide 3 charges and about 24 hours of listening time with the noise cancellation on. If you turn off noise cancellation, then you can extract up to 36 hours of usage from the headphones. The WF-1000XM3 offer high-quality sound with the help of the onboard DAC with amplifier and 24-bit signal processing.
Furthermore, the Digital Sound Enhancement Engine HX will upscale MP3 to high-resolution audio to improve the audio experience. The headphones feature 6mm dome type drives in each earpiece and come with Bluetooth 5.0 connectivity. This ensures seamless connection between the pair and the device. Sony promises a very stable connection with the WF-1000XM3 headphones. They are also designed to fit perfectly in your ears and provide the best comfort. It features an ergonomic tri-hold design that makes sure that the headphone sit firmly in the ear. It also comes with 4 sizes of hybrid and 3 pairs of extra comfort earbuds.
Sony has also included fast charging support on the WF-1000XM3. The provided USB Type-C charger can provide about 2 hours of battery life with a 10 minute charge. The included case can provide an additional 3 full charges for the headphones. The WF-1000XM3 also support Google Assistant and you can control them via voice. You can also use the Sony Headphones Connect app to customise features such as noise cancellation, controls and the sound. The Sony WF-1000XM3 will be available for purchase in mid-August for about €250. Exact pricing and worldwide availability haven’t been announced yet.
