No voter’s name should be left out in electoral roll

Voters list should be completely flawless. Names of eligible voters must not be left out in the voter’s list.
State Election Commissioner Basant Pratap Singh said this during the training of the observers appointed for the supervision of voters’ list of urban bodies and panchayats in State Election Commission.

The work of preparing voters’lists of urban bodies and panchayats is in progress. State Election Commissioner Singh said that the claim-objection centre should open at the scheduled time and claims and objections should be settled seriously.  He said that all the observers are seniors and experienced, necessary reforms will also be made on the suggestions of the observers.

Secretary Smt. Sunita Tripathi said that the Commission has made many innovations. The election process has been simplified. She said that observers should monitor voters list on the basis of checklist.  Smt.Tripathi said that new formats of claim-objection have been prepared. Deputy Secretary Smt.

Aziza Sarshar Zafar told to prepare voter list on the basis of new delimitations. She drew attention of the observers to the errors in the voters list made during the last election.  Secretary Pradeep Shukla and Kshitij Sharma and officials of Madhya Pradesh State Electronic Development Corporation also gave information on various subjects.
