HYDERABAD: A criminal case was booked against two brothers for allegedly abusing a four-year-old girl, who is their neighbour, in Rajendra Nagar two days ago. The incident came to light on Thursday.

Rajendra Nagar police said that on Monday, the two brothers — aged 18 years and 20 years — lured the girl with sweets, and took her to the terrace of their residence. “Both the brothers sexually abused the girl. The incident was reported late to the police,” said a police official.
After receiving a complaint from the victim's family, police registered a case on Wednesday under Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act. Both the accused are taken into custody. This incident took place at a time when protests are taking place over alleged rape and murder of a nine-month-old girl in Warangal.
