AMBALA: The
Haryana health minister Anil Vij on Friday said, under the
Ayushman Bharat scheme of the central government around Rs 3.35 crore have been released for treatments of 998 beneficiaries and there are
22 empanelled hospitals in the district out of which 15 are private.
As per the information, out of the amount Rs 3.35 crore, the bills of around Rs 1.67 crore are generated for the government hospitals while around Rs 1.68 crore for private hospitals.
Minister Vij said, "the Ambala district e-golden cards have been made of 47,558 beneficiaries of the Ayushman Bharat. Thousands of families in Ambala district have been benefited with the healthcare scheme of the government and Prime Minister Narendra Modi started this scheme on September 23, 2018. We have given instructions to all the empanelled hospitals that negligence in the treatment of the Ayushman Bharat beneficiaries will not be tolerated.”
Dr Arvinder Singh who is the nodal officer of Ayushman Bharat scheme said, “to make sure that the beneficiaries are getting quality health services and timely treatment, the inspection of the empanelled hospitals are conducted from time to time. Every week the report of the work done is submitted to the deputy commissioner office. Our main objective is to benefit eligible beneficiary families willing to get health services under the scheme.”
