PIB plans unit to fight fake news

NEW DELHI: Press Information Bureau, the government’s publicity arm, will set up a fact checking unit in its midst to counter factually incorrect reportage pertaining to the government.
Though it remains unclear when the the fact checking unit will officially start work, efforts in this area are likely to begin in the coming weeks.
