A GHMC employee and his brother were arrested by Cyber Crime police of Cyberabad for fraudulently issuing property tax identification number (PTIN) for wrongful gain.
The accused are Jay Chand Velaga, an out-sourced computer operator at GHMC’s Alwal Circle, and Nagendra Babu from Old Alwal.
Rajendra Nagar Deputy Commissioner of GHMC T. Dasharath told police that he received a complaint that three people named J. Ravi, J. Rakesh and J. Rajeshwari submitted fabricated documents by obtaining PTIN fraudulently for the plot at Premavathipet, Rajendra Nagar, and requested for necessary action by cancelling the assessment record.
Following a complaint, police investigated and found that Velaga had logged into GHMC website and fraudulently changed the data and generated PTIN and door number for the property.
