The Delhi government on Wednesday said it has approved the revision of its scholarship schemes for SC, ST, OBC and minority category students.
The department for the welfare of SC, ST, and OBC has reviewed the scholarship schemes in the current scenario and aims to simplify it for students who apply online as well as for government agencies for smooth processing of the applications, read a statement.
The schemes include reimbursement of tuition fees for students of Class I-XII studying in recognised public and private schools of Delhi, financial assistance for purchase of stationery; and merit scholarship for those studying in Class I-XII, professional or technical colleges and universities
Reimbursement of tuition fees for SC/ST/OBC/minority category students studying in Class I-XII can be claimed for 100% of the tuition, lab and library fee up to ₹48,000 or actual paid, whichever is less.
Students, who are pursuing their technical/professional/vocational courses, that have secured 60% marks or more in the previous exam are eligible for ₹8,000 per annum.
