Huawei Mate 30 and Mate 30 Pro alleged protective films leak online

“Huawei Mate 30 alleged protective film reveals narrow bezels and a relatively thin chin at the bottom of the screen”

Huawei Mate 30 series is known to be in the works and are slated to go official down the year sometime in October or November. Recently we’ve come across the Mate 30 Pro alleged back panel and a render, revealing the circular camera module, instead of square matrix found on the Mate 20 series. Now, the purported Huawei Mate 30 and Mate 30 Pro protective films have leaked on the Chinese social media website Weibo and spotted by noted leaker Ice Universe. If legit, these protective films give us a glimpse of the front panel of the flagships with narrow bezels and a relatively thin chin at the bottom. The top part of the image is blurred out, presumably to hide out the source of the leak.

As the top portion is blurred, the image doesn’t reveal if the Huawei Mate 30 will embrace the pop-up mechanism or have Galaxy S10 like the punch-hole design. Earlier rumours suggested the Huawei Mate 30 Pro would have Leica-branded quad-rear cameras including an additional ToF sensor and LED flash. It is also tipped to have 5X optical zoom, which is an upgrade over the 3x optical zoom in its predecessor.

The Huawei Mate 30 series is expected to feature a 90Hz AMOLED display, an in-display fingerprint sensor for biometric security and come powered by the 7nm Kirin 985 SoC with up to 12GB RAM and 256GB storage. It could come with 5G connectivity and might have support for the upcoming 55W fast-charging techUnfortunately, nothing else is known about the Huawei Mate 30 Pro or the standard Mate 30 at this stage, but we should learn more about the most-anticipated flagships in the coming days.
