Over the past 12 years, Fiat has launched more than 30 special editions of the 500. That’s according to the automaker itself, who disclosed this info during the announcement of yet another variant: the Dolcevita.
Made in celebration of the 62nd anniversary of the successful city car, the 500 Dolcevita combines a nautical theme with a retro-flavored styling and wants to make you forget that you’re looking at a car that has been in the market, more or less unchanged, since 2007.

The Dolcevita sports an exclusive color called Gelato White, adorned by a horizontal red, white and red stripe. The chrome elements, 500 label, diamond-finished 16-inch white alloys and glass roof on the hatchback and white-and-blue striped top (with a denim effect and 500 logo) on the convertible, round up the list of changes on the outside.
Tan leather on the seats with red piping and a red 500 logo embroidered into the seatbacks, along with the wood trim added to the dashboard and a set of special floor mats make up the design of the cabin. The 500 Dolcevita also packs the usual amenities, like an infotainment system, automatic climate control, multi-function steering wheel and so on.
The engine lineup consists of three units: a 1.0-liter, rated at 69 PS (68 hp / 51 kW), mated to either a manual or an automatic transmission, a 0.9-liter turbocharged TwinAir that develops 85 PS (84 hp / 63 kW), and a 69 PS (68 hp / 51 kW), 1.2-liter LPG variant. The latter two are offered solely with a manual gearbox.
