The golden jubilee foundation of Life Insurance Corporation (LIC) of India has handed over an ambulance to the Sri Dharmasthala Manjunatheshwara Hospital in Ujire on July 1.
A release by the Divisional Office of the LIC here on Wednesday said that T.C. Susheel Kumar, Managing Director of LIC, handed over the key of the ambulance to D. Veerendra Heggade, Dharmadhikari of Sri Kshetra Dharmasthala in Ujire. Officers of LIC were present.
The foundation was formed with a view to help the education of poor students, to improve infrastructure in rural areas, to assist in improving the medical facility to the underprivileged by providing financial support for building, purchasing ambulance and other facilities related to health, the release said.
