A man will front court today over allegedly posing as a teenager online to receive explicit images of a 13-year-old girl.
The 26-year-old man allegedly posed as a 19-year-old to engage in sexualised conversations and exchange images with the young girl from New South Wales' Central Coast.
The man was arrested after his home in Panania, Sydney, was raided on Tuesday and a mobile phone was seized.
Police were alerted after the girl attempted to end all contact with the man. He then blackmailed her saying he would post her explicit images onto social media (stock image)
The 13-year-old attempted to end all contact with the man only to be blackmailed by him, with the man saying he would post her explicit images onto social media.
Police were then notified and the warrant to search his Sydney home was carried out.

The man has been charged with a series of offences which include grooming under the age of 16 for sex and threaten to distribute images without consent.
He has been refused bail and will front Wyong Local Court on Thursday.
