Two arrested with stolen jewellery

Gorakhpur: The Gorakhpur police arrested two miscreants in Gorakhnath police station limit on late Wednesday night for involvement in two theft cases and trying to sell the solen jewellery in Nepal. The two miscreants were sent to jail on Thursday.

SSP, Sunil Kumar Gupta told the reporters on Thursday, “A team led by SP city Vinay Kumar and CO Gorakhnath Pravin Kumar arrested the two thieves from Zahidabad Labour Tiraha under Gorakhnath police station limit when they were trying to leave for Nepal.A gold mangalsutra, some gold studs, ear rings, two silver anklets and cash worth Rs 1,100 cash was recovered from their possession.”
“The two thieves were identified as Jamshed, son of Jawed and Nizam, son of Faqruddin, both residents of Sidharipur Bhatta area under Gorakhnath police station limit. They confessed their involvement in theft at two houses of Bajrang colony and Rasoolpur area on May 20,” said the SSP. Both the miscreants have been booked under section 454 , 457, 380, 411 of IPC.
