Actor-producer Udhayanidhi Stalin, son of DMK president MK Stalin, was on Thursday appointed as secretary of the party’s youth wing.

He replaces former MLA Vellakoil MP Saminathan, who was appointed to the post after Mr Stalin stepped down a few years ago.

“Mr Saminathan has been relieved and Mr Udhayanidhi has been appointed as per Rule 18 and 19 of the party,” said party general secretary K. Anbazhagan in a press release.
