Following an excellent first half of the year, the BMW X3 managed to secure the signatures of 1011 eager new owners.
That figure puts the luxury compact SUV well ahead of the Audi Q5 which managed 846 units over the same period. In total, the ten best-selling medium luxury SUVs registered a total sales figure of 2892 units.
Varied list
Swedish automaker Volvo is third with its premium XC60 (417 units), followed by another new SUV, the Range Rover Evoque (390). A mere single unit the Evoque is the BMW X4 (389). These three SUVs could continue to battle for third place overall towards year-end.
Jaguar’s E-Pace has some ground to make up to the SUVs in front of it, but the 245 units it sold puts it clear of the Volvo XC40 (seventh) on 198 units.
Land Rover’s Discovery Sport goes eighth on 168 units sold, ahead of another 2019 entry, the Lexus UX (132). The Lexus NX completes the top ten with 107 units sold.
