Sources from DMK revealed that DMK chief MK Stalin’s son Udhayanidhi Stalin will be appointed as DMK youth wing secretary on Thursday.

Youth wing secretary post is one of the powerful positions in DMK. MK Stalin has been the secretary of the youth wing ever since it was founded. Former Minister Vellakovil Swaminathan was appointed as the youth wing secretary when Stalin became the president of the party. Vellakovil Swaminathan has resigned his post now. This has fueled the speculations on Udhayanidhi becoming the youth wing secretary as the successor.

Udhayanidhi’s recent involvement in the party activities and campaigns has already hinted his political entry. According to the DMK officials, after the official announcement, Udhayanidhi Stalin will visit MK Stalin to get his blessings and pay homage to Anna, Karunanidhi and Periyar memorials.
