In continuance of the 70th CA day celebrations, The Bhopal Branch of The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India organized a cultural evening for the Members on the Theme “Disco Mania” on Sunday at Hotel Kanha’s Palm Springs, Hoshangabad Road, Bhopal. The grand cultural evening started with a ceremonial lighting of the Lamp followed by a welcome speech by CA Mayank Agarwal, Chairman, Bhopal Branch. He highlighted the glorious past of 70th years of ICAI and thanked the members for actively contributing towards the society. The programme acted as a stage for the Chartered Accountants to showcase their skills.
CA Sonia Rathore and CA. Niharika Jaya Arun gave melodious solo performances, showcasing a fusion of modern disco cum classical art forms. The programme also showcased the dancing skills of CA Sonia Rathore and group, along with CA Zoha Sultan and group. Sparkling Divas, a group of ten female Chartered Accountants and their spouses gave a scintillating dance performance on a medley of disco themed songs. Last but not the least, 34 CA couples rocked the stage with their ramp walk and short skits.
On this occasion senior members were also felicitated. Various games were also arranged for the members and their family members. Prizes were given for the Best Dressed Couple, Best Dressed Family, Early Bird and best performance. Bhopal branch managing committee members CA Zuber Ullah Khan, CA Samank Mohabe, CA Pradep Mutreja, CA Anshul Agarwal and CA Aditya Shrivastava were also present in the program along with past chairpersons, senior and young members. The program, in spite of the heavy rainfall, was attended by 500 Chartered Accountants of Bhopal, along with their families.
