Gurgaon: A 16-year-old boy has been arrested for allegedly raping his 15-year-old neighbour in Sector 5 on Tuesday morning. An FIR was registered at Sector 5 police station on Tuesday evening.
According to police, the boy, who is from UP, lives in a rented accommodation in Sheetla Colony, Sector 5, with his sister and works at a private hotel. The survivor also lives in the same accommodation with her family.
According to the complaint, on Tuesday morning, the accused was sleeping on the terrace and the girl went there to collect laundry. Suddenly, the boy grabbed her hand and forcibly took her to a toilet on the roof and raped her.
“When it was late, I went to the roof looking for my daughter. I saw the boy opening the toilet’s gate and running away. I found my daughter inside the toilet with her clothes torn. She told me that the accused had forcibly took her to the toilet and raped her. I and my husband asked the boy’s sister to call him but she denied. After that we immediately approached police,” the girl’s mother told police.
As per the complaint of survivor’s father, an FIR was registered against the teenager under Section 4 of the POCSO Act at Sector 5 police station.
“We took the girl for medical examination where doctors confirmed rape. The accused was arrested on Wednesday. Later, he was produced in court and sent to a correction centre in Faridabad,” said sub-inspector Sunita, the investigating officer.
