Police hunt man in connection to violent home invasion in Perth's south
Police are hunting a man after two people were seriously injured in an alleged home invasion early on Wednesday morning.
Peter Henri Laurens Smits is wanted in connection to an incident where a group of men allegedly threatened, injured and stole from the occupants of a home on Wicklow Street in Thornlie.
The men entered the house and threatened those inside, and seriously injured a man in his 30s.
A woman believed to be in her 20s also received minor injuries, and the men left with mobile phones, laptops and cash stolen from the home.
Both the man and the woman were taken to hospital for treatment.
Police believe Mr Smits could help with their investigation and said he was known to frequent Joondalup, Bull Creek and Myaree areas.
He is fair-skinned, about 180cm tall with a slim build and has dark coloured short hair.
The public have been warned not to approach Mr Smits if they see him and to contact police immediately on 131 444.
