Rains in Mumbai have brought an entire city to a standstill.

Flights have been diverted, trains cancelled and the state even declared a public holiday on Tuesday.

The torrential downpour also managed to spoilsport to a group of Gujarat teens who wanted to flee to Mumbai for a good time. It literally rained on their parade.

Three teenage boys who had run away from their madrasa (school) in Jamalpur, Gujarat had to return back home because of heavy rains in Mumbai.

The three boys, all from Danilimda, decided to run away to Mumbai on Sunday.

They boarded a train and reached the financial capital.

However, when 14-year-old Mohammed Nabeel, 14-year-old Amir Shaikh and 14-year-old Abu Sufiyan reached Mumbai their grand plans were dashed by the rains.

According to a report, the boys had run away to Mumbai because they wanted to have fun in the city. But when they reached Mumbai, the rains left them stranded at the railway station as no transportation was available.

Dismayed by their misfortune, the trio took a train back home and arrived in Ahmedabad on Monday.

Now, the madrasa authorities have said that they will be cancelling the trio's admission.

Instead of them taking the town by storm, the town made them storm out.
