World Cup 2019: India's winning streak was ended by England, but the Men in Bue still managed to book their semi-final berth with a victory against neighbours Bangladesh.

However, the journey was injury-hit after two of India's players -- opener Shikhar Dhawan and all-rounder Vijay Shankar -- registered injuries and were sent back.

While stand-by Rishabh Pant was called in for Dhawan, Mayank Agarwal was roped in as a replacement for Shankar.

Amid all this, Ambati Rayudu was left out from any kind of attention or selection - despite being a stand-by.

The cricketer hadn’t received a call after the players' ouster has now been offered an invitation from a faraway land - Iceland.

Taking to their official Twitter handle, Iceland Cricket offered Rayudu permanent residency in their country so that he can play for them after he was once again looked over for a World Cup spot in the Indian team.

The tweeted out the application form for permanent residency in Iceland if he intended to take them up on their offer.

The 3D glass reference comes after Rayudu criticized the selectors for not picking him in India’s squad and taking Vijay Shankar instead.

"We did give a few more chances to Rayudu but Vijay Shankar gives three dimensions. He can bat if the conditions are overcast, he can bowl, plus he is a fielder. We are looking at Vijay Shankar as a No. 4," chief selector MSK Prasad said, justifying his selection.

Taking a dig at the selectors on choosing Shankar and calling him a 'three dimensions' player, Rayudu posted a tweet saying,  “Just Ordered a new set of 3d glasses to watch the world cup”.

Netizens are even asking Rayudu to think upon the offer and take it.

The middle-order batsman has not stated the reason for his retirement yet but has added that he will not play in the Indian Premier League and is open to playing in other T20 leagues abroad.
