Share market update: PSU Bank shares dip; Syndicate Bank down 2%

NEW DELHI: Shares of PSU banks were trading with losses in Tuesday's morning session.

Shares of Syndicate Bank (down 1.93 per cent), Allahabad Bank (down 1.93 per cent), Union Bank of India (down 1.44 per cent) and Bank of India (down 1.43 per cent) wwere trading with losses.

Canara Bank (down 0.89 per cent), Jammu & Kashmir Bank Ltd. (down 0.85 per cent), Punjab National Bank (down 0.74 per cent) and Oriental Bank of Commerce (down 0.68 per cent) too were trading lower.

The Nifty PSU Bank index was trading 0.55 per cent down at 3200.45 around 10:02 am.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 9.25 points at 11,856.35 while the BSE Sensex was down 30.93 points at 39,655.57.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 20 were trading in the green, while 29 were in the red.

Shares of YES Bank, Adani Power, Vodafone Idea, Dish TV India, ZEEL, Adani Green Energy, Adani Enterprises, PNB, Tata Motors and JSPL were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
